When you decide to participate a ceremony with the plant spirits, there are many factors to consider. We’re talking about mind-expanding entheogenic plants that reach the deeper layers of the subconscious, offering healing, deep insights and transformation.
They bring to the surface what has been encapsulated for a long time, mainly in our subconscious—old pain, raw wounds and forgotten or hidden talents.
These plants restore the connection between our earthly physical existence and our soul, our higher consciousness. Therefore preparation goes beyond ‘only ‘ dietary changes.
Once you’ve registered for a multi-day plant process, you might find that this preparation phase itself is valuable. Themes come into our consciousness , giving you the opportunity to become more aware of limiting beliefs and conditioned behaviors. Emotions may rise to the surface during the preparation and you might even notice physical effects as well.
Therefore; preparation is important and will contribute to the plant spirit processes. It makes you more receptive.
Physical Preparation
We (in the West) are accustomed to a rich and abundant diet.
Before engaging the inner work with psychedelic plants, it’s beneficial to simplify and make your diet healthier. serene condition you experience both physically and mentally can pave the way for deeper awareness. Aim to eat as plant-based as possible.
It’s recommended to start this dietary adjustment two weeks before your process. If you regularly consume meat, dairy, animal fats, sugar, and more than two cups of coffee per day, it’s advisable to begin reducing these items three to four weeks before your process journey.
Alkalizing the Body – Baking Soda
You can support your physical cleansing (in addition to eating plant-based foods and avoiding coffee, sugar, and meat ) by drinking baking soda on an empty stomach in the morning.
Begin two weeks before your process: mix a teaspoon of baking soda (available at health food stores) in a cup of warm water and drink it before breakfast. This helps accelerate detoxification. Wait 30 minutes before eating breakfast.

Ensure you have not eaten for at least 5 hours before the ceremony.
Mental Preparation
Set an Intention
What is your intention for living more freely? What theme would you like to gain insights into, achieve liberation, or heal? In other words, what are your needs, what is the issue, what is your contribution, what is holding you back, and why?
Having a clear intention provides direction and focus both during the ceremonial process and afterward. It’s important to be clear about your problem or themes so that you can more easily understand what comes up during the process.
Don’t worry if you don’t have your problem or intention fully clear right away. This will become clearer during the introductory conversation.
Mental Preparation: Rest
Try to incorporate rest into your routine for at least 2 weeks (preferably longer) before the ceremony.
This can start with just 5 minutes of meditation per day, and you can gradually extend this as needed. The more time you can dedicate to this practice, the better. It’s normal to resist this as we tend to fill silence and emptiness with distractions (shopping, friends, eating, social media, TV, work, excessive exercise, etc.).
