From the very beginning, there was an immediate and strong connection—starting with the first email, followed by several phone calls, the ceremony itself, and the communication afterwards. There was consistent support, genuine involvement, and sincere attention. I felt assured that I was in the right place, which led me to decide to attend my first ceremony. We were warmly welcomed, with time to talk, to get to know each other, and everyone shared their personal reasons for being there. All in a calm, understanding, and non-judgmental atmosphere. Throughout my journey, Carlijn was by our side at all times, playing instruments, singing, and being present during the difficult moments, knowing exactly when to offer support. In the end, I felt an immense sense of relief. The morning after the ceremony, we gathered to share our experiences.
